Phen-Pro
The most recent cocktail involving Phentermine is “Phen-Pro”- the “Pro” standing for prozac. Any of the following antideppressants: Zoloft, Celexa, Luvox, Trazadone or Effexor may be used in place of Prozac.
For those who don’t have medical education or experience, it is necessary to know that the use of antidepressants in the Phen-Pro cocktail is not related to depression. They are a source of support for the cocktail. In what way? The effects of Phentermine, when used alone decrease over time. The “pro” addition enables Phentermine to work better and longer. The cocktail does not appear to cause the problems that resulted from the usage of Fen-Phen.
The combination of Phentermine and Prozac wasn’t approved by FDA. Yet, it is considered “off-label”. Once the agency has approved a drug, doctors may prescribe it, if a patient wishes.
